so, i have seen the film adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go. i have never read the book, i have only ever read the first page of it on LOOK INSIDE on amazon. but god blimey, i will be buying that book, as soon as i find out my mother's amazon password.
in case you have not heard of Never Let Me Go, or if you dont know the plot, it is the beautifully shot story beginning in the 70s of Kathy, Tommy and Ruth, three students of Hailsham, a school for scientific specimens (clones) who were created in a laboratory to provide organs for severely ill patients, their 'originals'. although it seems rather sci-fi and fantasy, the story is fully centered on the love triangle between Kathy (Carey Mulligan), Tommy (Andrew Garfield) and Ruth (Keira Knightley).
even if you dont like the sound of it, you HAVE to see it. i am going to have to severely edit my 'fave films chart' after seeing this - Never Let Me Go is truly one of the best films ever.
but be prepared - it might just break your heart.
